Best Dallas Restaurants

I am a lover of trying out new restaurants and exploring new places to dine/ grab a bite to eat in Dallas (and any city I visit)!

I hope to be able to share with you guys some of my favorite places so that you don’t have to stress about where to go for date night, a meal with the family, etc.

My favorites by cuisine are below:

Burgers / American:
Good friend (Lakewood) – beautiful patio & you can bring your pup!
Hopdoddy
Chicken Scratch (this one is double the fun because if you go for dinner, you can get drinks and listen to live music right next door at The Foundry Bar.)

Middle Eastern / Moroccan:
Cafe Izmir (Greenville)
Souk
Medina
Terra Mediterranean (Buffet) – authentic middle eastern food!

Farm to table/healthy eats:
True Food Kitchen
Company Cafe (great breakfast / brunch)

American / trendy:
Filament (++great cocktails)
Proof and Pantry (++great cocktails)
HG supply Company (nice view of Dallas skyline – go up to the roof!)
The Cedars Social (Speakeasy vibe, great cocktails and view of skyline)
Savor (right in Klyde Warren park so a great place to grab a quick lunch with a view or dinner)
Lark (across the street from Klyde Warren and a great place to have dinner before seeing a show at the Winspear of the symphony)
Meddlesome Moth
Oddfellows (Breakfast fave – take a walk around Bishop Arts afterwards!)
Saint Ann (Great for brunch & people-watching ;))
Bread Winners (Brunch place)

American / Dallas Staples:
The Grape
Cafe Pacific (Highland Park Village) – incredible service!

Seafood:
TJ’s Seafood
20 Feet Seafood Joint (Lakewood)

Tapas:
Casa Rubia – walk off the Paella after dinner in the beautiful Trinity Groves area 🙂

Deli:
Deli News (best bagel & lox in Dallas at this NY style Deli)
Neuhaus Cafe

Sushi:
Uchi (pricey but the freshest sushi I’ve ever tasted)
Ku Sushi (I would say this is mine and my hubbys top 3 fave restaurant because it’s so easy! The wait staff is super fast and on top of it and the sushi is delicious! we can get in and out of this place in under 45 min even on a Friday or Saturday.)
Shinsei

Asian fusion:
Tei-An
Top Knot

Noodles:

Tanoshii Ramen (Deep Ellum)

South American:
La Duni
Zaguan (their fruit juices and pastries are the bomb)
Bolsa (great cocktails too!)

French:

Boulevardier (Bishop Arts)
Mercat Bistro (great brunch place in Harwood)

Mexican:
Mesomaya (Preston & Forest location is probably my fave restaurant in North Dallas)
Javier’s (good place for a group dinner for business or pleasure if you secure a private room. It gets pretty loud in the main area so not as great if you’re trying to have deep conversation!
Mr. Mesero (Mexican fusion in the Knox-Henderson area)

Tex-Mex:
{Disclaimer: I’m from San Antonio and have high expectations for this category. Dallas’ food scene is unbelievable and never disappoints EXCEPT for Tex-mex. hope y’all don’t hate me for saying that but I just have not been able to find any place that matches home. If you know of one that I need to try, let me know in the comments below!}
Cantina Laredo

Pizza:
Cane Rosso
My Family’s Pizza (delicious hole in the wall pizza place where I recommend ordering delivery!)

Steak:

Bob’s Steakhouse (on Lemmon and has a really old-school vibe)
Capital Grille

Vietnamese:
Mais (hole in the wall in a bit of a seedy corner of Dallas – get a claypot and you will thank me!!!)

Korean & BBQ:
Seoul Garden (you can grill the BBQ at your table so it’s a fun experience for a group or double date!)

Chinese:
Royal China (get the dumplings, get the dumplings, get the dumplings!)

Indian:
Mughlai (Alpha Rd)

Popsicles/Yogurt:
Steel City Pops
I Heart Yogurt

If you have any other restaurants that you love that I’ve missed, please let me know in the comments below! I’d love to hear about your favorite Dallas restaurants!
