New England Vibes // Weekend Roundup

Happy Monday! ūüôā

Hope y’all had a peaceful and restful weekend. I certainly did and it was much needed. ¬†Don’t get me wrong, I still ran around town getting all of my errands done but I felt so accomplished as these were things that I just hadn’t had the time for these last couple of weeks.

Taking time to relax this weekend, I got to soak up some goodies.  Here were some of my favorite finds from this weekend:

Shop the Look

  1. Chrissy Teigen’s Glamour Article¬†– I almost cried a few times while sitting at the nail salon reading this piece. ¬†She’s so open and vulnerable about her postpartum depression, and is as relatable as always. ¬†It’s amazing that she’s bringing this topic to the forefront and making it more acceptable for woman to talk about.
  2. The Smartest Person in the Room Podcast¬†– I recently discovered Laura Tremaine through my¬†blogging journey. ¬†She was a successful blogger and is now “podcast-ing.” Her episode with Mike McHargue about how he lost his faith and then found it again in a¬†completely¬†different way was fascinating. ¬†I think everyone can relate to questioning their faith at some point in their life (regardless of religious or lack of religious affiliation). ¬†This interview is honest and inspired¬†me to continue to think about my own evolving feelings of religion and spirituality. ¬†I have to be honest, I didn’t think I’d enjoy this series that she did on religion and I loved this episode. ¬†I’m excited to listen to the rest.
  3. If you live in the North Dallas area, this will excite you: Eatzi’s is coming to Preston & Royal! After moving further north from Uptown, I cannot tell you how much I have missed this gem of a grocery store & restaurant. ¬†That’s not all…Sur la Table is coming too. ¬†In addition to my office supply obsession, I have an abnormal¬†love for kitchen supplies. ¬†I could pretty much move in to Williams Sonoma and / or Sur la Table. ¬†I am stoked!! Steel City Pops just opened up as well but I have not been yet to this location. More info here.
  4. Brunch at Saint Ann in the Harwood District is legit! I had only been for dinner and I tried their brunch for the first time yesterday, and it was delicious. ¬†Saint Ann’s is definitely a place to see and be seen, but their food does not disappoint! ¬†It’s also in a super cute part of town which is expanding. ¬†Other places close by that I recommend are Mercat¬†Bistro (for breakfast / brunch) and Marie Gabrielle (for a wedding venue ;)).

On another note, today’s outfit gives me all of the New England feels and matched this weekend’s tranquil vibes. It feels coastal and cozy. I love this XX look because it can either be dressed up or down, taken from day to night. ¬†Here’s where I paired this bell sleeve Madewell top with Tom’s wedges to give it a more casual feel.

To dress it up, I just changed the shoes to a darker heel and added a bracelet.

If you’re listening to any great podcasts or reading something inspirational, I’d love to hear about it! I hope y’all have a wonderful Monday!
