My Morning Routine to Increase Productivity

Happy Tuesday, friends!

Hopefully Monday wasn’t too rough and you’re now in the flow of a wonderful new week! Over the last couple of months I have been focusing on how to maximize my productivity throughout the day.  It’s a journey and I do not have it all figured out yet.  But I have learned several tricks [like my sleeping hack I blogged about last week] that really help, and one of them is having a solid morning routine.

Planner vs. No Planner…That is the question!

I can’t believe I’m even saying that.  I’m the girl who would love to go school supplies shopping every year, and I probably own the largest office supplies / sticky note / colored pencil collection within a 30 mile radius! 😉 Needless to say, I love to use pretty planners, I love filling them out and I love having all of my appointments / to-do lists in one place.  Last year, I used the 12 month ban.do planner from Swoozies.  It was gorgeous and I got it monogrammed.  It comes with fun stickers and it had both monthly and daily planning pages.  While I did love it, it just became too heavy to carry in my work bag or purse (it was a pretty thick agenda book.)  So I found myself using it less and just relying more on my phone for my appointments and my moleskin for my to-do lists.   My husband and I share our iCloud calendars with each other so that we know when we have dinners and events coming up.  So I was slowly starting to rely more on my phone and keeping up with both the phone and a heavy duty planner was just too much!  I personally like to write out my weekly events on paper so that I can see it all in front of me, so I knew I couldn’t give up the planner altogether.  So I started Googling and Pinteresting…and found this:
